Continuing our work

Out of respect for the recent deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and the many who came before them, we are taking a pause with this week's posts. Pausing to give space for all of us to listen, to learn, and to act. What is clear is that there is a lot of work to do.

We wanted to share some of the ways we can do this below. For a comprehensive list please see: Anti-racist resources for white people.

A condensed recommendation, some of our personal steps we will be taking over the next few weeks, is below.

  1. Email your MP to asking them to support Black Lives Matter, stop the sale of tear gas and rubber bullets to the US. A template is here.

  2. Remember to personalise the letter to avoid spam filters and include your address so they can be sure you are a constituent!

  3. If you want to find your local mp search for them here

  4. Learn the ways we can speak up - make a commitment to fighting for racial equity and move to action by challenging racist words and actions around us. Here is a list of 6 steps to effective action.
